How do I add the school calendar to my iPhone?
You can easily add the school calendar published on our website to your iPhone by following the steps below:
Step 1 - On your iPhone open the 'Calendar' app
Step 2 - At the bottom of the page click on 'Calendars' & a new page listing all your calenders will open
Step 3 - At the bottom of the page click on 'Add Calendar', then click on 'Add Subscription Calendar'
Step 4 - Highlight and Copy the URL link to the School Calendar's provided at the bottom of this page then Paste the link into the 'Subscription URL' box
Step 5 - Click on 'Subscribe' then click 'Add' in the top right corner followed by 'Done' (top right corner on next page)
You should now be able to view the School's calendar directly on your iPhone rather than having to visit the website. All new information and updates will automatically upload to your device.
You can set your individual preferences for this calendar, including whether you receive event alert notifications. As the calendar includes all school events, you may wish to disable the alerts depending upon your personal preferences. To edit your preferences for the school calendar:
Step 1 - Whilst in the Calendar app, click on 'Calendars' at the bottom of the page & new page listing all your calenders will open
Step 2- Click on the i button to the right of the the School Calendar. From this page you can manage your personal settings including naming the calendar, assigning it a colour, manage alerts and review the subscription details where further alert and attachments settings can be adjusted.
How do I add the school calendar to my Android device?
Subscribing to an online calendar like the one on this page is usually a two stage process for Android users.
First Stage:
Step 1 - On a web browser go to the Google Account linked to your device
Step 2 - Go to your Google Calendar. You have to add the school calendar via the web version of your Google Calendar before adding it to your Android device
Step 3 - In the web version of your Google Calendar, scroll down the page and click on the Plus (+) sign next to 'Other calendars' then click on 'From URL'. (You will find 'Other calendars' on the left side of the page, below 'My calendars')
Step 4 - Highlight and copy the school calendar's URL provided below
Step 5 - Paste the URL of the calendar into the web version of Google Calendar where indicated on the 'From URL' page
The school calendar will now appear under the 'Other calendars' in the Google Calendar sidebar. To add it to your Android device, continue with the Second Stage
Second Stage:
Step 1 - Open your Android device's Calendar app and in the settings, make sure your Google account is checked then click on 'Sync now'
TIP: If you still can't see the school calendar on your Android device it is probably because your device does not automatically sync 'Other calendars' when you complete the basic 'Sync now' described above. If so, follow Step 2 below
Step 2 - In the Calendar app of your Android device select your Google account calendar, then under 'Other calendars' check which subscribed calendars you wish to have synced to the Android device. Follow your devices instructions to confirm your choice and sync.
TIP: It can take up to 12 hours for changes and additions to show up in Google Calendar
