Our Values

"Jesus said, ‘I have come that you may have life in all its fullness’"

(John 10:10)

At our school:

  • We value the core foundations of faith and community; welcoming all
  • We nurture, love and support each other as curious, brave and kind indivduals in order to flourish.
  • We inspire a life long love of varied learning and experience.

Faith at Oak Hill

Faith is our roots, it is the core part of our mission at Oak Hill CE Primary. We value the core foundations of our faith and community. We wish to empower our community to flourish spiritually, make independent choices and to develop understanding of the meaning and relevance of faith in a full life. Faith as a foundation can take many forms; faith in God, faith in family, faith in community, faith in self and others. The love that underpins our values, our actions and, our lives.

Our Worship Ambassadors

Our Year 6 Worhip Ambassadors is a new role for 2023, they are responsible for setting up for our Collective Worship and choosing the hymn and prayer.  We are developing their roles this year and they will be leading Collective Worship going forward.

For this year, we are following the Diocese of Rochester 3 Year Plan for Collective Worship.

Autumn 1 - Friendship and Respect
Autumn 2 - Compassion
Spring 1 - Humility
Spring 2 - Forgiveness
Summer 1 - Perseverance
Summer 2 - Courage

Over the course of the year, each class will lead Collective Worship and our community is invited in to join us at these and other events.

Prayer Club

Prayer Club was started in collaboration with Chris Andrew from Project Touchline. Meeting every Wednesday lunchtime, Prayer Club provides a moment for peaceful reflection, fellowship and of course prayer.

Open the Book

Each day we gather to share worship.  Weekly collective worship begins with the sharing of scripture.  This is then developed throughout the rest of the week.  We learn about our school Christian values through the scripture.  Worship teaches us how to respond to and use Jesus' teachings to grow as individuals.

Project Touchline

Each year we welcome Chris Andrew from Project Touchline into school to further enhance our continued development of our Christian Values.

Enjoy our Project Touchline video from early 2020.
