Oak Hill CE Primary School set to join

Primary Quest Multi Academy Trust (MAT)

On Monday 20 November 2023 we were pleased to finally be able to write to our parents with some important news!

Oak Hill's Governors have for many months been working closely with colleagues at the Department for Education (DfE), the Local Authority Gloucestershire County Council and the Gloucester Diocese to ensure the long term future of our wonderful small, village school.  As part of these plans, the DfE made an Academy Order which will ensure Oak Hill's conversion from a Local Authority maintained school to an academy school when it joins the Primary Quest MAT group of schools.

We're working towards completing this process by the end of the 2023-24 academic year at the very latest, if not sooner.

This change will provide a greater number of choices as to how the school continues evolving, will help to meet the ongoing changes in the education system, allow us to continue to improve the opportunities provided for children and will support the school into the future.

In practical terms, academy status will change some things behind the scenes which will enhance the running of the school but otherwise the school will operate on a day-to-day basis in a similar way to now. There will be no negative impact on the curriculum or our pupil's day to day experiences.

Staff will have access to continued professional development opportunities, networking and quality learning circles. Primary Quest facilitates networking and development opportunities for staff which promote the implementation and embedding of best practice.
