Keeping Children Safe at Oak Hill CE Primary School

We strongly believe that one of the primary roles of our school is to keep the children safe.  We provide a safe, caring, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all of our children.  We recognise that all staff members have a full and active part in protecting children from harm.

If you have a concern about the safety and well-being of a pupil, our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is the Headteacher, Mr Adam Greaves, the Deputy DSL's are Miss Charlotte Tarling and Mrs Jackie Edwards.

Our Governor Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Victoria Leather

All concerns regarding child protection issues in school should be referred to Mr Greaves wherever possible.  This responsibility extends to every member of staff and any volunteers who may be in school.

Allegations Management

Every Local Authority appoints a Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) to manage any allegations against child care professionals.

In Gloucestershire the LADO is Nigel Hatton, who is supported by Tracy Brooks, the Allegations Management CoOrdinator.  Nigel can be contacted on 01452 426 994 or at and Tracy on 01452 426320 or at

Additional information and advice can be obtained from the Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board.
