Keeping Children Safe at School

Keeping our pupils safe and ensuring our school is a reliable, safe and welcoming place for every member of our school community is at the heart of all we do at Oak Hill.

We work hard to provide a caring, nurturing, and stimulating environment for every child and were delighted by  We recognise that all staff members have a full and active part in protecting children from harm.

If you have a concern about the safety and well-being of a pupil, our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is the Headteacher, Mr Adam Greaves, the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSLs) are Mr Jason Avards and Mrs Jackie Edwards.

Our Lead Safeguarding Governor is Mrs Katy Beattie

All concerns regarding child protection issues in school should be referred to Mr Greaves wherever possible.  This responsibility extends to every member of staff and any volunteers who may be in school.

Allegations Management

Every Local Authority appoints a Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) to manage any allegations against child care professionals.

In Gloucestershire the LADO is Nigel Hatton, who is supported by the Allegations Management Cordinator.  Nigel can be contacted on 01452 426 994 or at nigel.hatton@gloucestershire.gov.uk and Tracy on 01452 426320 or at tracy.brooks@gloucestershire.gov.uk
