British values at Oak Hill CE Primary School

Oak Hill Church of England Primary school are strong believers in British Values.

  • Democracy
  • The Rule of law
  • Individual libery
  • The mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith.

British Values in action

To experience British Values Year 5 and 6 have created their own political parties.  In groups they have had to:

  • Decide upon their own values as a group.
  • Created learning resources for younger children to learn about British Values.
  • Debated on subjects such as nuclear weapons and refugees.
  • Made difficult budget decisions.
  • Written speeches about what they want for the future of Britain.
